NEW CITYSCAPE SERIES

This is a new series of watercolors painted from photographs I have taken in Boston.

I have always been interesed in cityscapes and have taken a lot of photos when I travel. It took a while to figure out just how to interpret these interesting scenes using their complicated structures, strong value changes and colors.

As I continue this series I will be posting the images.

Painting up a storm

It seems I've been painting up a storm or Roadside (see new work on right). I've used illustration board for this paiting and it's been a while since I've painted on board. I think I like Cheap Joe's Kilimajaro better.

I've taken a wonderful gelatin Workshop and it's inspired me to work in book form. So far so good but, it's still "books in progress". I am making great pages and hope to have a finished book or four very soon. It's a very abstract project and great fun.
